'We didn’t come to Cleveland for the weather!' Jaylen Brown gives ‘STONE COLD’ response after beating Cavs in Game 3
David Richard-USA TODAY Sports

Jaylen Brown was determined to lead the Boston Celtics to a win in Game 3 against their Eastern Conference rivals the Cleveland Cavaliers. Before the game, he emphasized the importance of focus and mentality, as well as letting them know what they are really in their city for.

Furthermore, the C’s followed Brown’s lead, as they beat the Cavaliers 106-93 and regained home-court advantage in the series. Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown both had strong performances, with Tatum scoring 33 points and Brown scoring 28.

Making sure before the game, at film, shoot-around, talking to everybody, touching everybody, letting everybody know like, 'Hey, we're not here to play around. We didn't come to Cleveland for the weather. So let's go.' Jaylen Brown told the reporters

The win now gives the Boston Celtics a 2-1 advantage in the series. They will have a day off on Sunday, during which they can now enjoy the partly cloudy weather in Cleveland, and not forget that the job isn’t over until it’s over.

The Celtics’ focus on the game paid off after losing last time out on their own turf, however, they are now one step closer to advancing to the Eastern Conference finals. With their win in Game 3, they have now regained momentum and will look to build on it in the next game.

Veteran analyst Skip Bayless chooses Jaylen Brown over Jayson Tatum

Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown have been leading the Boston Celtics, with Tatum typically considered the number-one option, as it is generally believed that if he plays well, the team does and vice-versa. However, Brown’s performance this season has shown that the C’s have two stars who can play at a high level.

Skip Bayless recently stated on X (formerly known as Twitter) that Brown is the superior player, which may be seen by some as disrespectful to Tatum. However, to others, the Celtics are fortunate to have both players on their team and will likely continue to benefit from their skills for the foreseeable future.

Ultimately, the Celtics’ aim of winning an NBA championship is more important than determining which player is better. And with Deuce and Brown leading the team, they have a strong chance of advancing in the playoffs and making a deep run.
